This is not the proper business to price shop. Just like you, I research the competition, search for the best product for price, and generally don’t spend more than I have to. I understand this philosophy, but it could be the worst move you make when choosing someone to service your vehicle. I would say that choosing a detail company is similar to choosing a babysitter for your young child, or that hair salon that will cut your hair. When it comes to detailing vehicles you should look for quality service and then the right price. Whether you choose to use our service or not, work hard to educate yourself about a company’s service before you choose them.
Remember, you are trusting a company with the overall appearance of your vehicle. One mistake and you could be spending thousands at your local body shop. Proper detailing requires skill, training, and experience. What is often missed is this…the protection of your vehicle, the education you deserve about how to properly maintain your vehicle, and trained and seasoned professionals servicing your vehicle. This is what sets us apart from the rest. In Colorado, not only is your vehicle’s appearance important to us, but your protection from the harsh elements (i.e. UV rays due to altitude, sand and chloride deposits placed on the roads during winter, and oxidation) are equally important to us as well. So don’t overlook protection for shine and don’t mistake shine for protection!!
Again, the bottom line is that you shouldn’t choose a detailer or detail shop because they are the cheapest. Often times these companies have a hard time telling you why someone else does a different process, or even the reasoning behind their own process. I have even spoken with local detailers who couldn’t tell me what was even in the wax they were using. Watch out! Check for references and call them. Do they have reviews or testimonials online for you to read? Are there before and after pictures of their work? What products did they use and why do they use them? What experience and training do they have? Finally, are they licensed and insured?
